Born in Manilla, Philippines, the youngest of 7 siblings, her parents were Maximino and Josefa lojo.  Even though she was born in a well to do family. Growing up, to her she was just like everyone else, equal like everyone else.  Being humble, hard working and kind was always the importance taught to her by her parents, which later she would teach her kids that importance without ever speaking of her family's wealth.
